Making good eye care a reality

It’s so easy to take our vision for granted, whether we need glasses or not.

Vision is a key sense in helping us better understand and engage with the world around us.

From taking part in your favourite hobby to eating food, sight plays a big role in how you undertake and enjoy activities.

Over 75% of global blindness is avoidable - with cataracts, glaucoma and uncorrected refractive errors being the main culprits.

Refractive errors can be corrected with glasses, but over 1.2 billion people in the world have no access to glasses.

This includes children and the elderly, of which we assist thousands throughout the UK every year.

Visioncall strives to help people see better and live better… but our work is far from over.

With an estimated 50% of people living in care having some form of sight loss, our mission is essential to enabling hundreds of thousands of individuals to lead a better life through sight.

Poor vision can lead to an increased risk of falls, depression and isolation.

World Sight Day is about making sure everyone has access to better vision.

Visioncall is able to assist our patients thanks to our care partners who have selected us as their optician of choice and who, like us, believe we have an important mission.

Contact your local practice to arrange a sight test in your care residence today.
